Q. Are Pangaea TV, NUC, X5, and M3 HDMI Sticks Legal?
A. Yes the Pangaea family of computers are legal. They are based on the same type of hardware that you will find in a laptop, smartphone, and tablet. The streaming software is legal and accessible from the internet. The streaming software can be installed on Apple devices (Laptops, Desktops, Tablets, and Smartphone), Window devices (Laptops, Desktops, Tablets, and Smartphones), Android devices (Tablets, Smartphones), and Linux devices.
Q. Does Pangaea Media stream content to the Pangaea Media Boxes?
A. Pangaea Media is a hardware provider only. We do not stream content to our customers. The streaming add-ons that our customers enable allow them to stream content that is accessible on the internet for their personal use. Downloading content on a Pangaea Media box is not possible. Pangaea boxes are for personal streaming only.
Q. How does this work?
A. All the content (TV shows, movies, sports, Live TV Channels, etc.) is streamed on the internet. Once you configure it, the Pangaea TV Streaming Media HTPC makes finding and streaming content very easy. Another bonus is you no longer need to illegally download and share TV shows and movies. Just find what you want to watch and stream it.
Q. What TV shows can I watch?
A. You will be able to access many mainstream TV shows and other programming since they are streaming 24/7 on the internet. You might find that some obscure programs are not available, but most are.
Q. Can I watch sports?
A. Yes you will be able to stream almost every game live and there are options for enjoying the games after they air “on demand”. Most major sporting events are streamed online through various sources. Available streaming add-ons will give you access once you configure your Pangaea TV.
Q. Do I require a Pangaea TV for each TV we have?
A. Yes currently it is one Pangaea TV per TV. We advise that customers purchase one initially to make sure it will exceed their viewing expectations. After it does, we can discuss additional Pangaea TV streaming media players.
Q. Are there any ongoing subscriptions either monthly or yearly?
A. No there are no ongoing subscriptions from Pangaea Media.
Q. How do I keep the software up to date?
A. Pangaea TV owners receive top tier customer support. Customers can configure their Pangaea when major software updates are available. Customers maintain their Pangaea themselves like they do with their laptop, tablets, and smartphone. The Pangaea Media boxes are little computers that need updating.
Q. Okay, so I’ve decided I want one. How difficult is it to setup when I get it home?
A. When your Pangaea TV arrives, you will need to configure it yourself to take advantage of the streaming add-ons. Once you have configured your new Pangaea HTPC, all you need to do is connect it to your TV and the internet.
Q. What internet speed do I need?
A. We recommend a minimum of 15Mbps. Optimal performance is achieved at 25Mbps and up.
Q. What happens if I buy it but don’t like it?
A. If you don’t like it for whatever reason, let us know within 15 days of receipt. Ship it back to us and we will give you a full refund. Period. This is our no BS guarantee.
Q. How much data transfer will I use?
A. That depends on how much TV you watch and the quality of that view. We recommend getting unlimited data transfer. Some of the high definition 1080p Blueray movies can be large. At minimum, you should have 300gb of monthly data transfer to be safe.
Q. Can I buy with Paypal?
A. No, sorry. We proudly accept Visa, MasterCard, and Amex. We also will accept an Etransfer payment.
Q. Is there a warranty?
A. You bet. The Pangaea TV Streaming Media Player comes with a 2-year warranty that covers every component in the unit. The Pangaea NUC comes with a 3-year warranty (The only streaming media player that offers a 3-year bumper to bumper warranty). The X5 and M3 come with a one year warranty.
Q. Do you provide support if I get stuck using your Pangaea TV streaming media player?
A. Of course! Our friendly support team is available to help you with any hardware issues that may arise. Q. I already have a digital movie library. Can I still use it?
A. Yes indeed. Our media box comes with USB ports that you can plug external drives into.
